Littleton Select Board Authorizes Signing of MSBA Shaker Lane School Agreement

LITTLETON — January 26, 2026 — Littleton Select Board approves MSBA school grant agreement and multiple spending actions in virtual storm session. Meeting virtually due to a winter storm, the three-member board — Chair Karen Morrison, Vice Chair Matthew Nordhaus, and Mark Rambacher, with Chuck DeCoste and Gary Wilson absent — voted unanimously Monday to authorize Town Administrator James Duggan to sign the Massachusetts School Building Authority's Project Scope and Budget Agreement for the Shaker Lane Elementary School replacement, a project eligible for a state grant of up to $38,854,809 at a 54.02 percent reimbursement rate. The board also voted 3 to 0 to transfer up to $29,000 from the Finance Committee FY26 Reserve Fund to cover the salary of a new Office Coordinator for Elder and Human Services through June 30, and adopted a formal Town Common Use Policy requiring a permit for events expecting more than 100 concurrent attendees. A $5,000 estimated gift of safety equipment to the Highway Department from Amazon was accepted under MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. Police officer and sergeant appointments were continued to the next meeting, as was a liquor license amendment request from Archer's Mobil at 500 King Street pending Police Chief review and a full list of comparable licensees.
