Lawrence Academy to Help Groton Bring Back July 4th Fireworks Celebration

A familiar summer tradition gets a boost from a local institution this year, with Lawrence Academy stepping up to help bring Groton's annual Independence Day fireworks back to residents.

The Town of Groton announced that Lawrence Academy will play a role in this year's annual fireworks celebration, according to a press release posted to the town's website on June 22. Also on the town's homepage, officials noted that effective May 1, 2026, the real estate tax demand fee increased to $30, the state maximum allowed under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 60, §15.
