Interim Police Chief Defends License Plate Reader Program

HOPKINTON — Hopkinton's interim police chief told the Select Board this week that the department's Flock Safety license-plate-reading cameras have proven a public-safety benefit, according to a MetroWest Daily News report published Friday. The comments come as the town's search for a permanent police chief continues, with 19 candidates in the running to replace retired Chief Joseph Bennett.
