Carlisle CPC Sets Friday Deadline For FY27 Grant Applications

Carlisle's Community Preservation Committee is giving nonprofits, town departments and residents until noon Friday to file grant requests for the FY27 funding cycle, the next step toward the Community Preservation Committee funding requests that will go before voters at November's Special Town Meeting. It is the most concrete Town Hall news to emerge in the past day.

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) opened its FY27 grant application window this week, with a filing deadline of Friday, August 14, at noon, according to the town's News Flash postings. Whatever projects the committee forwards will be taken up when the Special Town Meeting convenes November 16 in the Corey Auditorium and Cafeteria of Carlisle Public School, a date the Select Board has already locked in.

The committee's call for applications gives local groups and departments a narrow window to get preservation, recreation, housing or historic-resource projects in front of town meeting voters this fall.

Carlisle's committee calendar is busy this week. The Select Board meets in hybrid format Tuesday, August 11. The Carlisle Cultural Council holds a remote meeting Wednesday, August 12, the same day the Historical Commission meets in hybrid format. The Safety Committee follows with a hybrid meeting Thursday, August 13.
