Capital Committee Begins Narrowing Long List of Project Requests
Capital Program Committee · Meeting of March 19, 2026
Pepperell's Capital Program Committee starts trimming a sprawling repair wish list toward a $500,000 to $1 million ask for Fall Town Meeting. Chair David Ganong and members John Ladek, Theresa O'Leary and Andrew McLean worked from an earlier list totaling roughly $1.4 million, agreeing to chase firm contractor quotes before settling on a final dollar figure. "We think the town's got an appetite for $800,000 worth of this stuff," McLean said.
New business included a newly confirmed underground oil tank at the community center, likely under $25,000 to remove, and a possible $1.6 million to $2 million sprinkler retrofit at the leased Fitz building. The Select Board is expected to set November 7 as the town meeting date, with a warrant deadline in early October.
