Board of Health Urges Well Owners to Conserve Water as Drought Continues

SHERBORN — Sherborn's Board of Health is urging residents who rely on private wells to conserve water as the region's drought continues, warning that declining groundwater levels can affect both the quantity and quality of well water.

TOWN HALL The Board of Health issued the advisory Monday through the town's News Flash feed, noting that as the drought persists, well owners should be mindful of their water use. Residents with concerns about their private wells are asked to contact the Board of Health directly.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Sherborn Library has pushed back its outdoor Summer Concert, originally set for July 15, to Wednesday, July 29, at 6:30 p.m. The band So Lucky will perform at the rescheduled date.

COMING UP Town board activity picks up next week. The Open Space Committee and Recreation Commission both meet Monday, July 20, followed by the Planning Board and Library Trustees on Tuesday, July 21.
