Bedford Select Board, Town Manager to Host Summer Biergarten Saturday

BEDFORD — The Bedford Select Board and Town Manager's Office are inviting residents to the Town Common this weekend for the town's Summer Biergarten, an afternoon of music, beer and food set for Saturday, August 8.

TOWN HALL The Select Board and Town Manager's Office announced the Summer Biergarten on the Town Common, billed as an afternoon gathering with live music, beer and food for the community. No admission details or vendor list were included in the town's announcement.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Bedford Free Public Library is recruiting volunteers to help unload its annual delivery of pumpkins for the library's Pumpkin Patch. A semitruck full of pumpkins is scheduled to arrive on October 5 at 2 p.m. and again on October 12 at 11 a.m., with unloading expected to take several hours. Residents who sign up to help by September 1 will receive a free T-shirt.

COMING UP The Select Board meets Monday, August 10, at 7 p.m. in the Select Board Room. The Board of Assessors and the Planning Board both hold regular meetings on Tuesday, August 11.
