Bedford Fire Station Project Gets Overnight Construction Notice

BEDFORD — The town posted an overnight construction notice Wednesday for the Bedford Fire Station project, alerting residents near the build site to nighttime work the same day officials held a previously scheduled forum on the future of the town's former fire station.

TOWN HALL Town officials issued the overnight construction notice for the Fire Station project Wednesday afternoon, the latest posting tied to a building effort that has periodically required off-hours work. The notice does not specify the hours or duration of the work; residents near the site are directed to the town's CivicAlerts page for updates. The Fire Station Building Committee, which oversees the project, is next scheduled to meet Monday, July 27.

Separately, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and Bedford staff held their previously announced virtual forum Wednesday on the future use of 55 The Great Road, the existing fire station building, continuing a public-input process the town opened earlier this month.
