Ayer Planning Board Incumbents Diskin and Murray Seek Reelection to Three-Year Terms

Ayer Planning Board incumbents Ken Diskin and Julie Murray made their case for reelection at a virtual candidate meet-and-greet broadcast on Channel 8 and airpublicaccess.org ahead of the May 11 Spring Town Election. Both seats are uncontested. Diskin, the board's vice chair and a retired construction project manager, cited technical expertise in reading development plans and attendance at planning education forums as central qualifications; Murray, a 12-year resident and Community Preservation Committee member since 2016, described herself as a citizen voice on the five-member board, saying "I don't always find the material fun — but I come as a resident saying my kids go to the Page Hilltop, and I want this town to prosper." Together they described first-term accomplishments including zoning bylaw updates for the downtown and West Main Street corridors and affordable housing provisions designed to attract developers.

Applications for early or absentee ballots must reach the town clerk's office by 5 p.m. on May 5.
