Acton Planning Board Sets Public Hearing on 96 Pope Road Development

ACTON — Acton's Planning Board has scheduled a public hearing on a proposed development at 96 Pope Road for Tuesday, Aug. 18, one of three town boards convening that evening.

TOWN HALL The Planning Board posted formal notice of the 96 Pope Road hearing this week, adding a concrete land-use item to the town calendar for Tuesday, Aug. 18. The board's regular business meeting falls on the same night's agenda, alongside separate sessions of the Commission on Disabilities and the Land Stewardship Committee, giving residents several avenues to weigh in on town business that evening.

COMMUNITY & ARTS Acton Public Library is adjusting its midweek lineup. A Craft Night session letting patrons decorate a tumbler on the library's Cricut machine runs twice Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Grady and Thomas rooms, with registration closing at 6 p.m. that day. Librarian Rebecca G.'s Thursday Tech Time drop-in has been canceled for Aug. 20, though the library's weekly Peace Crane Folding session, a self-directed origami project that donates its finished cranes to charity once 1,000 are folded, continues that same afternoon from 1 to 2 p.m.
