Wayland Youth Soccer Boys Strikers Earn MTOC Tournament Bid

WAYLAND — With Wayland High School's spring season wrapped up and the Fourth of July holiday pulling families away from fields and gyms, the week of June 29–July 5 was defined not by scoreboards but by a pair of youth-sports developments: Wayland Youth Soccer opened fall registration and the Wayland Youth Soccer boys 7th-and-8th-grade Strikers team earned a bid to the MTOC Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL

No Wayland High School games were scheduled or played during the June 29–July 5 period per ArbiterLive. The Warriors' spring season has concluded; fall sports are not yet underway.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

No middle-school sports results or announcements were available for this period.

YOUTH

Wayland Youth Soccer's fall 2026 season registration is now open for players in grades K through 8. Families can register through the WAYS website. The league also announced that its boys 7th-and-8th-grade Strikers team has qualified for the MTOC Tournament, a notable postseason achievement to cap the spring season.

Wayland Little League noted that spring program registration is closed but that summer registration remains available through the league's website. The league also announced the completion of the Eliza J. Norton Foundation's Build with Heart dugout project at Cochituate Park, a facility improvement WLL helped fund as a Champion Sponsor.

Wayland Youth Basketball Association, Wayland Youth Lacrosse, and Wayland Youth Sports posted no new program news during this period.

LOOKING AHEAD

Families interested in fall soccer should register through the WAYS website before spots fill; no deadline was published but demand is expected to be high given last year's enrollment numbers.
