Wayland permits 6-unit Loker Street apartment project
Conservation Commission · Meeting of September 30, 2026
Wayland Conservation Commission permits six-unit Loker Street apartments and converts a 2018 Rice Road violation to enforcement. The commission voted 6-0 to close the hearing and issue an order of conditions for Matt O'Connor's 67A Loker St. project, despite Conservation Administrator Linda Hansen warning he still lacks a DPW curb-cut permit and that no new information can be accepted after closing. A separate 6-0 vote rescinded a prior order at 26 Rice Road and ratified an enforcement order on DEP's recommendation.
Members also heard Kleinfelder project manager Kirsten Ryan present the town's PFAS water supply project, with 0.2 acres of added impervious surface, 5.6 acres of disturbance and about 29 trees removed at Happy Hollow, and continued it to Oct. 21. Hansen called the proposed rail trail overlook "really impossible for public safety to get to."
