BELMONT — The Warrant Committee and Select Board heard previews of two Special Town Meeting articles and took no vote. School officials sought about $90,000 in Chapter 70 funds for a seventh high school campus bus and $88,772 for printer replacement and a security audit. A presenter said user fees cover 20 percent to 25 percent of bus costs.
Matt Taylor previewed Article 6, the first of three Town Meeting votes toward a stormwater utility. He said a no vote could mean an 11 percent to 14 percent sewer rate increase in fiscal 2028, while a yes could leave rates flat, with a median home paying about $14.40 a month for stormwater. The committee votes Nov. 12.
