Underwood Fourth Graders Deliver 100-Plus Food Bags To Newton Pantry
Fourth graders at Underwood Elementary School collected more than 100 bags of food for the Newton Food Pantry, while overnight road work closures loom for a local parkway this week, according to reporting from Newton Patch.

The Newton Free Library's Summer Reading Program continues through September 4, open to kids, tweens, teens, and adults. This week's library calendar includes several drop-in Tech Time sessions, "Little Beats" for young children, ELL conversation practice groups, and a "Food Friday: Birthday Cake!" event for tweens on July 10. The library is closed Sundays through the summer months, though regular weekday and Saturday hours continue.
Looking ahead, the library will host a Winnie-the-Pooh Escape Room and a new Monday storytime series, "My First Storytime," both beginning July 13.
