Transfer Station Permit Deadline Falls Today; Act Before Access Is Cut

Monday closes out the first half of 2026 for Ashby with a practical deadline residents should not miss: today, July 1, is the last day to purchase a Transfer Station permit before access to the Ashby Recycle Center & Transfer Station is cut off for the permit year. Permits cost $50 and can be bought through the town's online payment portal or in person.

The transfer station permit deadline is the most time-sensitive item on residents' radar this week. The town announced earlier this month that all permit purchases must be completed by July 1 to ensure continued access to the facility. At $50 per year, the permit covers use of the Ashby Recycle Center & Transfer Station; residents who have not yet renewed or purchased should do so today.

The town is also still accepting applications for a part-time seasonal Cemetery Worker to assist with maintenance of Ashby's three town cemeteries.
