Tewksbury Finance Committee Appoints Two New Members to Fill Open Seats

Finance Committee · Meeting of July 13, 2026

Tewksbury Finance Committee fills two vacancies, selects engineer and renewable energy professional. The committee voted unanimously twice Monday night, appointing Raymond Bowden, an engineer and former Finance Committee member who served from 2005 to 2008, and Taylor Goodrow, a renewable energy engineer and four-year resident, to two open seats following interviews with four candidates. Finance Committee Chair Rich Lavazza, Select Board Chair Eric Ryder, and Town Moderator Dustin Weir conducted the interviews and cast the votes.

Two other candidates — Perry, a UMass Lowell banking student and Economic Development Committee member, and Derek, a civil engineer specializing in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure — were not selected, with the panel concluding their skill sets either duplicated existing members or were narrower than the committee's full portfolio required. The appointments come as the committee faces a December 1 deadline to approve a revised Shawsheen Valley Technical High School budget, with Lavazza saying he had already begun reviewing the new submission over the weekend.
