TEWKSBURY — January 7, 2026 — Tewksbury Conservation Commission tightens enforcement order on silent Prinkle Street property owner while clearing four emergency certifications. The commission voted unanimously January 7 to ratify an amended enforcement order against Frank Zioli of 175 Prinkle Street after staff reported that the state Department of Environmental Protection declined to intervene, citing an insufficient documented history of noncompliance dating only to a December enforcement order rather than to the original June violation notice. Staff said she has visited the property, called the owner, and sent emails, and will now copy DEP on the amended order in an attempt to apply additional pressure. The board also unanimously approved a certificate of compliance for a completed 420-square-foot home addition at 77 New York Road and ratified emergency certifications for a tree removal at 30 Blacksmith Road, a failed septic tie-in at 91 Emily Road, a beaver dam blockage cleared by private contractor Weaver Solutions near Sutton Brook, and a downed tree at the corner of Pond Street and Whipple Road cleared by the Department of Public Works.
