Stoneham Seeks Resident Input On New Trash Contract

Stoneham's Trash & Recycling Committee is asking residents to complete a survey on their trash and recycling needs as the town negotiates a new hauling contract to replace its current agreement with Casella, which expires next year.

TOWN HALL

The Trash & Recycling Committee wants residents to fill out a brief survey on their service needs and preferences. Town officials say the responses will help the Town Administrator's office understand what the community wants as it works to secure a new trash and recycling contract before the Casella deal runs out next year.

SCHOOLS

Stoneham Public Schools held a third transportation lottery drawing on August 26, filling two additional bus seats that had opened up. The district said another drawing will be held if more seats become available, continuing a process that placed four families in an earlier lottery on August 25.
