GROTON — The Stewardship Committee voted unanimously to support the Conservation Commission's CPA request. Members reached a quorum partway through the Wednesday meeting, then reviewed a draft Carol Wheeler Park grant application. They discussed a $50 herbicide estimate and a seed mix that could cost $250 to $300, and tied applicator insurance to treating knotweed on land owned by the T. Anna withdrew a request for a letter backing the Park Commission's CPA project, which was cited as $4 million and later as $5 million, after members raised mission and funding concerns.
The committee also tentatively scheduled a weather-permitting 10 a.m. site walk of the Noon and Woods parcel on Gratuity Road and the Farmers and Mechanics land.
