Springs Brook Park delayed opening due to rain headlines a quiet week for Bedford sports.

BEDFORD -- Springs Brook Park opened at noon on Friday, June 27, after rainy weather pushed back the start of the day. Swim tests for the Summer Adventures program continued as scheduled from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. that morning. Residents not yet signed up for swim testing were directed to contact Rachel Berg at RBerg@bedfordma.gov or call the park at 781-275-0272.

TOWN

Bedford Recreation notes that Springs Brook Park membership registration and swim lessons are open online or at the Recreation Department. As of June 19, swim lesson registration is available only in person at Springs Brook Park. Summer Adventures registration opened Feb. 26; spring and summer program registration opened March 2. Families are encouraged to join wait lists for full programs.

YOUTH LEAGUES

Bedford Youth Soccer announced that the Fall 2026 Travel Soccer uniform store opened June 19. No games or events were scheduled for the period.

Bedford Youth Lacrosse's 2026 spring season — including its Classic League Sundays and grade-level Jamboree weekends — concluded prior to this period per the published schedule. No new activity was reported for the week of June 22–28.
