GROTON — The Groton Sewer Commission ruled that a planned Hollis Street ice cream shop is not a change of use, so no connection fee applied. Steve Tully of Dunstable described a roughly 500-square-foot scoop shop with minimal food prep, taking over equipment left by the prior tenant. The voice vote followed a motion and second from members.
The commission also heard resident Greg Ganley's plan to link a three-bedroom house on Old Ayer Road to Ayer's sewer, and members said they had no concerns if the flow is not charged against Groton's Four Corners allotment. Ganley relayed that Ayer has about 100,000 gallons per day of spare capacity. Meetings were set for March 11 and March 25.
