Sewer Commission delays ERU decisions on two Middlesex Road sites

Sewer Commission · Meeting of January 22, 2026

Tyngsborough Sewer Commission tables ERU purchase for 130 Middlesex Road after applicant no-show. Sewer Administrator Kathy Cayer told the board the property has exceeded its bettered allotment by two equivalent residential units for three quarters, but the owner, who requested to discuss the matter in person, never appeared. The commission also deferred a competing connection request for 46 Middlesex Road to its next meeting and confirmed several stalled waiting-list properties, including sites on Cummings and Dunstable roads, lost their capacity holds after failing to respond to certified letters.

Cayer corrected a flow estimate for the Tyngsborough Housing Authority from 30 to 56 units, roughly 6,600 gallons a day, though the authority's eventual connection fee will be based on its actual two-year average use of 3,981 gallons a day. Minutes and executive session minutes from Jan. 8, 2026, were approved unanimously.
