Select Board · Meeting of October 19, 2026

LITTLETON — The Littleton Select Board declined to recommend the proposed town charter for the October 27 Special Town Meeting, pushing that question to spring, while leaving a second major article, adoption of state Chapter 40U code-enforcement powers, to go to voters without a board position. The board unanimously appointed Allison Lane as Parks, Recreation and Community Education Director at Grade 16, Step 8. It also voted unanimously to authorize a one-year pilot allowing the Friends of the Littleton Council on Aging Thrift Shop to relocate into a town-owned building, with the agreement running through December 31, 2027, after thrift shop operator Sandra Casali described the group's need to vacate a sold Baptist Church property by November 8.

Resident Rob Rounds urged clarity on Chapter 40U's legal track record, noting one Littleton property dispute has "gone to court and town has lost four times." The board also appointed Charles DeCoste as the town's representative to the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and MAGIC.
