Tyngsborough Select Board approves amended Dracut licensing pact over Sandbar Beach Club. The board voted 4-0-0 Monday to adopt an amendment requiring Dracut to share police reports and give 10 days' notice of disciplinary hearings, after resident Mary Lanzillo argued town meeting's non-binding vote sought full rescission, not amendment. Town Manager Colin Loiselle called rescission "not as simple as it sounds" given the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission's authority.
Separately, the board heard that the fire station building committee identified $4.2 million in potential cuts, aiming for a standalone station near $19 million to $19.5 million, with a final direction expected September 21. The board also unanimously approved a liquor license transfer for Game Day Pizza and Tap Inc. at the Tyngsborough Sports Center and flagged a 84 Kendall Road senior-living variance application for failing to meet a 150-foot buffer required under a binding development agreement.
