Select Board · Meeting of November 2, 2026

Belmont's Select Board amended its citizen petition policy and filled Council on Aging seats. Town Administrator Patrisse Garvin reported a $3.5 million Catalyst Fund award for Sherman Gardens, bringing the total to $4 million, and about $6.8 million in free cash. The board appointed Nomita Ganguly, Tim Bowman and Niti Seth and reappointed Peg Callanan, with terms to June 30, 2029.

Residents objected to bump-outs in a $400,000 Orchard Circle paving plan, and one told the board "listening is different than responding." The board also heard that 243 leaf blower complaints came in this year, with six companies repeatedly cited.
