Real Estate Tax Bills Due August 3 in Littleton
LITTLETON — Littleton property owners have a fast-approaching deadline, with real estate tax bills due August 3, while the Reuben Hoar Library continues a run of hands-on children's and tween programming this week.
TOWN HALL
The town is reminding residents that real estate taxes are due on August 3, 2026, according to a notice posted to the town's News Flash page. Property owners who have not yet submitted payment should do so ahead of the deadline to avoid penalties.
The town also published its July 2026 newsletter, giving residents a roundup of municipal happenings, and continues to flag the ongoing Shattuck Street traffic island work that began July 20, which remains in progress with delays expected near Town Hall.
SCHOOLS
Littleton Public Schools' website continues to highlight its Shaker Lane Building Project update, though no new construction milestones were posted in the latest window. The district's news page currently features past items including a used sneaker drive, a busing reminder for the 2026-2027 year, and the district's STEM Challenge, none dated to this reporting period.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Reuben Hoar Library — under its cross-listed programming — has a busy slate of drop-in activities this week. A drop-in art session is running in the Children's Room, inviting kids to design and decorate their own handkerchiefs with markers and colored pencils.
The library is also partnering with Response NH on a rock-painting series for fourth- through sixth-graders focused on healthy friendship and relationship skills; no registration is required, and kids can attend one or more sessions. Last week, the library hosted an Astronomy Family Tinker Time with WMSI, where families built constellation dioramas and viewed space photography.
Separately, the Housing Authority Board meets Wednesday, July 29 at 2:30 p.m. in the Common Room at 19 Shattuck Street, and the Reuben Hoar Library Trustees meet Thursday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Murray Room.
