North Reading's free Wednesday-evening concert series continues at Ipswich River Park this week.

NORTH READING -- The Parks and Recreation Department is midway through its Summer 2026 concert series at Ipswich River Park, co-sponsored by the Friends of North Reading Parks & Recreation and the Parks & Recreation Committee.

TOWN -- The five-Wednesday concert series runs from June 24 through July 22, with performances beginning at 5 p.m. Organizers note that dates are subject to weather-related cancellations or rescheduling, with updates posted to the Friends of North Reading Parks & Recreation Facebook page. The department's Spring 2026 brochure remains posted online, and residents can register for recreation activities or open an account to receive email notifications through the town's online registration system. The department also reminded residents that anyone planning organized use of town parks or school facilities -- including groups of 10 or more, or any fee-based program -- must obtain a permit in advance by contacting the Parks and Recreation office at 978-357-5216. Community members are reminded that school facilities such as the track and tennis courts are off-limits during school hours and afternoon school athletics.
