Norfolk Board of Health Member Collin Seeks Three-Year Term After One-Year Service

PEPPERELL — April 18, 2026 — Norfolk Board of Health member John Bowman Collin is asking voters for a three-year term in the May 5 town election. Collin, a seven-year resident with more than 30 years of human resources and health-and-safety experience, appeared on Norfolk Community Television's candidate interview series and named the passage of a town tobacco regulation as his top accomplishment in his current one-year term. He said his priorities for a longer term would center on reducing what he called the "siloed" operation of the town's elected boards, citing a local solar farm development as a project where earlier Board of Health involvement would have been beneficial: "There's some stuff at play there that I wish was discussed five and six years ago." Collin also serves as chair of the Norfolk Dems and said his partisan affiliation has not prevented him from building relationships across political lines. Early voting in Norfolk begins April 24; Election Day is May 5 at the Freeman Kennedy School.
