Marlborough youth basketball and soccer registrations are open for the coming season through the Town Recreation Department.

MARLBOROUGH -- The Town of Marlborough Recreation Sports program is accepting registrations for youth basketball and youth soccer for players in grades Pre-K through 5. Families registering a player complete a three-step process: registering the player, signing a waiver, and selecting a shirt size. All events are held at Marlborough Elementary School, located at 41 Fitch Court. The Maroon Club is listed as a program contributor. Volunteer and coaching opportunities are also available. TOWN -- At its June 22 meeting, the City Council referred a proposed salary ordinance amendment for the positions of Recreation Director and Assistant Recreation Director to the Finance Committee. The Finance Committee subsequently recommended a seven-step salary ordinance for both positions, effective August 1, 2026, based on a 40-hour work week. The council voted 10-0 to advertise the ordinance. A separate communication regarding proposed ordinance amendments related to the position of Recreation Coordinator was also referred to the Finance Committee.
