Littleton Cultural Council adopts revised FY27 grant priorities unanimously

Littleton Cultural Council votes unanimously to finalize looser 2027 grant guidelines. Chair Melissa Luongo and Co-Chair Sarah Rustan led the council through a rewrite that softened last year's requirement for a fully secured venue to "preference will be given to applicants with commitments from local venues," and added that "applications may be partially funded." Members also voted to add Native American and Indigenous history "in and around the Nashoba Valley" as a funding priority. Rustan reported the council's annual community survey drew 33 responses, up from 32 last year, and said "the biggest thing is going to be having someone in your face, door to door" to boost participation next year.

Secretary Kristen "Kiki" Donahue proposed a QR-code partnership with the school drama boosters to widen the survey's reach. The council tabled officer elections and its September 8 meeting was moved to September 22 to avoid a conflict with Russell Street School's back-to-school night. Rustan will submit the finalized priorities to the Massachusetts Cultural Council's portal before the August 28 deadline.
