Littleton Common Previews Fall Town Meeting, Football Co-op, LCTV Funding Gap
Common - September · Meeting of October 3, 2026
Littleton Common's September episode flags a cable funding squeeze and a football co-op with Ayer. Co-hosts Barbara McCrae and Mark Crory said Littleton Community Television's cable subscriber base has dropped from 83 percent of town households a decade ago to 39 percent today, roughly halving revenue even as demand for recording remote board meetings has grown; a Friends of LCTV telethon is planned for November to help close the gap. Susan Tordella of First Church Unitarian previewed the Littleton Country Fair, running Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., noting the tradition "dates back to the late 1800s" and now offers free children's crafts and face painting.
Littleton High School's varsity football team, short on players, will co-op with Ayer High School this season, playing just two home games at Alumni Field. Fall town meeting is set for Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. at Littleton Middle School.
