Lexington Wins $10,000 MIIA Grant for Event Safety Barriers
LEXINGTON — The town has been awarded a $10,000 risk management grant to buy metal barriers for use at public events and celebrations, while the Select Board is separately seeking volunteers to fill a vacancy on the Trustees of Public Trusts.

The Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association, the town's property and casualty insurer, awarded Lexington a $10,000 grant to support the purchase of metal barriers for use at town-sponsored events and celebrations, according to a town press release. The grant is intended to strengthen public safety at gatherings held on town property.
Separately, the Select Board is seeking qualified residents interested in filling an upcoming vacancy on the Trustees of Public Trusts, a town board. Residents interested in serving can find more information through the town's volunteer opportunities page.
