Lexington Conservation Commission Approves $10,500 in Nature Trust Fund Advances

LEXINGTON — January 6, 2026 — Lexington Conservation Commission approves $10,500 in Nature Trust Fund advances and issues four orders of conditions. At its January 6 remote meeting, the commission voted unanimously to advance $6,000 for the 2026 Native Plant Kit Sale — the sixth consecutive year of the program with Lexington Living Landscapes and Bagley Pond Perennials — and a contingent $4,500 advance to support a Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game Community Biodiversity Grant if awarded around February 1. The board also issued orders of conditions for 0 Grove Street, 4 Turning Mill Road, 58 Valleyfield Street, and 31 Barberry Road, and closed hearings on an amended order of conditions for 178 Waltham Street and a negative determination for 139 Worthen Road. Several applications including 229 Bedford Street — where commissioners cited absent stormwater controls and unverified flood and wetland lines — were continued to the January 27 meeting. Associate Commissioner Alex Dohan announced he will resign in late May when he moves to Concord, creating a vacancy on the seven-member board.
