Lexington Buys Event Barriers With $10,000 MIIA Grant
LEXINGTON — A national pathology laboratory headquartered in Lexington disclosed a data breach exposing Social Security and financial account numbers, while Town Hall announced a $10,000 grant to buy safety barriers for public events and continued its search for a volunteer to fill a seat on the Trustees of Public Trusts.

StrataDx, a national diagnostic pathology laboratory headquartered in Lexington, disclosed a data breach involving sensitive personal information, including financial account numbers and Social Security numbers, according to a report picked up in a Google Alert for the town. Further details on the scope of the breach or how many people were affected were not immediately available.
Separately, the Town of Lexington was awarded a $10,000 risk management grant from the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association, the town's property and casualty insurer, to fund the purchase of metal barriers for use at public events and celebrations. The Select Board is also seeking qualified candidates for an upcoming vacancy on the Trustees of Public Trusts, and the Lexington Affordable Housing Trust is inviting low- and moderate-income renters to apply for its new Lex PRAP pilot rental assistance program.

Several Lexington Public Schools bodies have meetings on the calendar this week and next. The School Building Committee holds a remote meeting July 20 at 5:20 p.m., using a revised agenda posted July 14. The School Committee meets remotely July 22, followed by a School Committee Policy Subcommittee remote meeting July 23.
