Sudbury Housing Trust advanced the Stone Road affordable-housing sale and pushed for an independent study of Liberty Ledge.
Housing Trust · Meeting of September 10, 2026
Sudbury Housing Trust advanced the Stone Road affordable-housing sale and pushed for an independent study of Liberty Ledge. Members voted 7-0 to approve a state Local Initiative Program application for the Stone Road property, then 6-0 to authorize Director of Community Development and Planning Adam Burney to sign it on the trust's behalf. Jeff Levine's resolution asking the town to commission an independent land-use study before deciding Liberty Ledge's future, including possible affordable and moderate-income housing, passed 6-0 after nearly 40 minutes of line-by-line editing, with Gabe Ciccarello cautioning the statement should stay "more pointed" toward the trust's own mission.
Liz Rust of the Regional Housing Services Office reported the trust's account fell to roughly $718,000 after a $790,000 July outlay for Stone Road, with financials for June through August ratified 5-0. A $900,000 Community Preservation Act application for Stone Road rehabilitation drew no new vote.
