Holliston Street Paving Starts June 29; July 3 Trash Pickup Runs on Schedule
Street paving work begins next week and residents should know which services will — and won't — be interrupted over the Independence Day holiday, as the town heads into a busy stretch of summer civic life.
TOWN HALL
Summertime street paving projects are set to kick off June 29, according to the town's website. No further route details were posted in the coverage window, but residents living near active roadways should expect construction-related delays beginning Sunday.
On the trash and recycling front, the town has confirmed there will be no delay to Friday, July 3 pickup — collections will run on their normal schedule that day. The town's 2025 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report is also now available for residents who want to review it.
The town's Climate Action Plan has been posted and is available to the public, as is a notice that Habitat for Humanity is accepting applications for an affordable home in Holliston. Residents interested in either item can find links through the town's website at townofholliston.us.
Looking ahead to next week, the Select Board and School Committee are both scheduled to meet remotely on Monday, June 29. On Tuesday, June 30, the Board of Assessors, Finance Committee, Envisioning Future Holliston, and Open Space Committee all have meetings on the calendar — a packed agenda night to close out the month.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
Holliston Public Library will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The library will otherwise hold its regular hours throughout the rest of that week. Digital borrowing through Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy remains available around the clock regardless of building closures.
On Saturday, June 27, the library is hosting The Unlikely Strummers Ukulele Band — a free community music event. Check the library's events calendar at hollistonlibrary.org for start time and room details.
