Pepperell Historical Commission preps objection to a three-story 81 Main Street redevelopment ahead of a September 26 variance hearing. Chair Ronald Karr called the site's early-1830s house "the oldest building between the river and the rotary" and criticized the applicant's renderings as apparently AI-generated, saying "it's just AI slop." The commission accepted its June 16 minutes unanimously and reported combined restricted-gift-account balances of $1,325.65 as of July 8, including $210 for the Colonel Prescott statue project. Cronin said Questers, a Philadelphia nonprofit, donated funds toward replacing Liberty Flag poles, routed through Veterans Services Agent Meg Murphy. Walton Cemetery gravestone-realignment work begins September 21. A wayfinding-sign motion was held in abeyance pending outreach to the town administrator rather than going directly to the Board of Selectmen.
