Groton-Dunstable School Committee fixes FY26 budget gaps, revises handbook privacy language. The committee approved roll-call budget transfers covering a $373,193 special education transportation overrun, a $50,679 athletics shortfall and $180,000 in collaborative tuition costs, closing the year with $162,163 unspent. PFAS filtration costs, just under $600,000, will continue at 22 homes until town water arrives.
Members unanimously approved the 2026-27 high school handbook after a member questioned vague language allowing release of student directory information to "third parties," and after member Rosanna raised questions about searching vehicles at dances and proms. Energy Manager Andres reported $734,851 in regional clean-energy grants, including a record $250,000 Green Communities award for Groton. The committee also accepted a $9,000 donation from the Groton Dunstable Youth Soccer Association for middle school soccer.
