Goodnow Library Trustees elect Iwasaki chair, Kelley vice chair at reorganization

SUDBURY — June 3, 2026 — Goodnow Library Trustees elect Iwasaki chair and lock a 16-month strategic-planning timeline. The board on June 3 unanimously elected Elizabeth M. Iwasaki chair and absent member Megan Kelley vice chair, succeeding Ingrid J. Mayyasi. Library Director Amy Lannon laid out a sequencing plan running through September 2027, when trustees must approve a new five-year plan ahead of an Oct. 1, 2027 Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners deadline; four Tier 1 consultants will receive a request for quotes drafted with Assistant Town Manager Victor. Lannon reported the FY2026 budget at 92 percent spent, more than $4,000 raised at the weekend book sale, and a 24-hour Comcast-caused internet outage she called "the biggest one I've experienced in my 14 years here." Trustees also approved a Dec. 26 closure and a revised trustee spotlight for distribution as a homepage slider and newsletter e-blast.
