Finance Committee backs five fall warrant articles
Finance Committee · Meeting of September 24, 2026
Ayer Finance Committee unanimously backs five fall warrant articles totaling over $940,000. The panel, chaired by Kurt Fraczkowski with Vice Chair Andrew Sealey and Clerk Eric Sechman voting 3-0 on each item, recommended a $50,595 payment to Littleton Electric Light Department after the utility undercharged the town using the wrong meter multiplier: "instead of using a 100 multiplier, they were using a 40," the town's DPW director said. Members also backed $520,000 to replace aging filter media at the Spectacle Pond water treatment plant, two administrative sewer-fund transfers totaling $370,102.26, and up to $66,000 in Community Preservation Act funds for a dog park shade structure.
Resident Pauline urged the committee to examine a $44 million state funding request for Vicksburg Square rehabilitation at Devens, telling members "it's your responsibility as the finance committee to advise us, the residents, how to vote."
