CrossTown Connect Receives $96,690 Grant for Regional Transportation Programs

LITTLETON — CrossTown Connect Transportation Management Association has received a $96,690 grant to relaunch regional transportation programs serving Littleton and surrounding communities, the town announced this week, as work also got underway on the long-planned Shattuck Street traffic island project.

The town also touted a separate accessibility grant, part of an effort it labeled "Advancing Accessibility in Littleton," and pointed to a Massachusetts Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) summary report crediting the town with strong, continued progress on long-term financial planning.

Construction on the Shattuck Street traffic island began Monday, July 20, as scheduled, and drivers should expect delays in the area in the coming days. The town clerk's office is also gearing up for in-person early voting ahead of the state primary.
