City Council · Meeting of September 23, 2026

City in Middlesex Superior Court, saying open discussion "may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the city." Vice Mayor Burhan Azeem moved to enter executive session; the clerk recorded six members present, including Councillors Cathie Zusy, Patty Nolan, Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler and Flaherty, with Councillors Ayah Al-Zubi, Marc McGovern and Simmons absent. No public comment was taken. The council said it would adjourn from within executive session rather than return to open session.
