Concord Health Officials Flag National Rise in Cyclospora Cases

CONCORD — Concord's town government flagged a national increase in Cyclospora cases this week, urging residents to stay alert for the parasitic gastrointestinal illness even as Massachusetts case counts remain typical for early August. The advisory arrived alongside a new dashboard the town rolled out showing how it is putting FY26 grant dollars to work.

The town posted a health advisory on Cyclosporiasis case tracking, noting that while the Massachusetts case count remains typical for this time of year, the CDC is advising heightened awareness of a rise in cases in multiple states of the gastrointestinal illness caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora.
