Carlisle Opens FY27 Grant Cycle Amid Drought Advisory
CARLISLE — The Community Preservation Committee has opened its FY27 fall grant application cycle, with submissions due next month, while the town also faces a new Level 3 drought advisory covering the region.
TOWN HALL
The Community Preservation Committee is accepting applications for its FY27 grant cycle, with funded projects to be voted on by Town Meeting at the November 16 Special Town Meeting. Applications are due Friday, August 14, at noon, giving prospective applicants about four weeks to prepare submissions.
Separately, the Carlisle Board of Health announced that the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs has designated the Northeast Region, which includes Carlisle, as being in Level 3 – Critical Drought status. The designation typically brings tighter water-use guidance for residents; the town has also reiterated that Transfer Station permit enforcement remains in effect, with same-day permit transactions available by credit or debit card at the Police Station and no cash accepted on-site.
The town's July municipal newsletter has also been published, featuring monthly community news, celebrations, and resident submissions.

Carlisle Public Schools is operating on its published summer 2026 campus schedule, with the Main Office keeping hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through summer school, which runs July 6 through August 7.
