Boxborough panel keeps Village for a Day hours, adds mini golf
Economic Development Committee · Meeting of July 29, 2026
Boxborough's Economic Development Committee keeps Village for a Day at its established hours and adds a sponsored mini golf course. Chair Abby Reip and members voted 6-0 to approve June minutes and, after debate, agreed to keep the October 3 festival running 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with vendors free to break down starting at 3:30. The committee is comparing mini golf vendor quotes of $1,300 to $2,500 and plans to recruit local businesses to sponsor holes for about $200 each.
Select Board member Priya said she's pushing a better business-tracking system as a formal goal for the town administrator, calling the current patchwork of state, clerk and permitting records a "tall order" for volunteers to manage. Rich Guzzardi urged colleagues to make village center zoning a top Planning Board priority.
