Carlisle Sets November 16 Special Town Meeting Date
A Special Town Meeting has been scheduled for November 16 at the Corey Auditorium and Cafeteria of Carlisle Public School, town officials confirmed, setting up a fall vote on Community Preservation Committee grant requests and other warrant articles.

The Select Board's office confirmed the Special Town Meeting date via the town's News Flash service, noting that additional information on the warrant will be posted as the November 16 date approaches. The meeting will be held in the Corey Auditorium and Cafeteria at Carlisle Public School, and it is expected to include votes on Community Preservation Committee grant applications from the newly opened FY27 fall cycle, a story the town's News Flash also covered earlier this week.
Town Hall also flagged a Transfer Station regulation update: parking at the facility is now limited to 15 minutes to keep traffic moving, and attendants may ask vehicles parked longer to relocate outside the Transfer Station.
The July edition of the Town of Carlisle Municipal Newsletter has been posted, with monthly town and community news along with resident submissions, according to the town's website.
SCHOOLS
Carlisle Public Schools' main office is operating on summer hours, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., through the district's summer school session, which runs July 6 through August 7. During that window, the School Street lot is closed to parking on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the playground is reserved for student use only during those same hours, with no public restroom access for playground visitors.
The Carlisle School Committee's next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, at 10 a.m. The district has also posted 2026 summer learning resources, including summer reading lists and math practice tools for students across all grade levels.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The town's Carlisle Spotlights feature continues to showcase local wildlife and farm imagery from area photographers, including recent shots of a mute swan in town wetlands and goats at Clark Farm, both credited to The Mosquito. The town also continues to promote its network of hiking trails and conservation lands, pointing residents to trail maps and descriptions on the municipal website.
