Board of Health Confirms West Nile Virus in Marlborough Mosquitoes
MARLBOROUGH — The city's Board of Health is alerting residents that the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has detected West Nile virus in mosquitoes collected in Marlborough, while Mayor J. Christian Dumais's office announced a new provider for the city's emergency ambulance service.

The Board of Health issued a public notice after state health officials confirmed West Nile virus in mosquito samples collected within the city, a routine but closely watched marker of mosquito-borne illness risk during the summer season.
Separately, Mayor Dumais's office announced that Coastal Medical Transportation Systems (Coastal) will become the city's new provider of emergency ambulance services, a change the mayor's office framed as a welcome addition to the city's emergency response capacity. The city also posted a legal notice regarding the renewal of Marlborough's cable license with Comcast, though no hearing date or additional detail was included in the notice.
