Belmont Schools Book Author Rosalind Wiseman For September Visit

Belmont Public Schools announced that best-selling author Rosalind Wiseman will visit the district on September 16, 2026, while Town Hall gears up for a World Cup semifinal watch party this week at the Town Hall Auditorium.

TOWN HALL

The Select Board will hold a hybrid meeting Monday, July 13, followed by Board of Assessors and Belmont Housing Trust meetings the next day, per the town's published calendar. Town Hall's News Flash also promoted a World Cup Semi Final Watch Party set for July 14 and 15 at the Town Hall Auditorium, inviting residents to gather for the matches. Separately, the town reminded residents that there is no yard waste pickup this week, from July 6 through July 10.

In-person early voting at Belmont Town Hall is scheduled to begin August 22, according to a schedule the town posted this week, giving residents an early look at plans for the fall election season.

The district's website also highlighted that the School Committee has approved ratified contracts with the Belmont Education Association, a result the town described as arising from more than 19 months of negotiations, collaboration, compromise, and mediation.
