Attorney General Approves Three Ashby Town Meeting Articles

The Massachusetts Attorney General's office has approved three articles from Ashby's May 2026 Annual Town Meeting warrant, clearing them to take legal effect after months of state review, Town Hall announced Aug. 27.

Articles 12, 13 and 14 from the May 2, 2026 Annual Town Meeting warrant were returned approved by the Attorney General's office, according to a News Flash posted to the town website Aug. 27. The town's notice did not detail what the three articles address, but their approval means they are now officially in effect. Review by the Attorney General's office is a standard final step for local warrant articles passed at Town Meeting before they carry the force of law.

Ashby voters head to the polls Tuesday, Sept. 1, for the Massachusetts state primary, with in-person voting at Ashby Elementary School from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the Town Clerk's office.
