Ashland Reschedules July 4th Recycling Event to July 11

The town's Fourth of July recycling event has been rescheduled to this Saturday, July 11, while the Ashland Public Library kicks off a busy stretch of summer programming this week.

TOWN HALL

The town's July 4th recycling event, postponed due to the holiday, will now take place Saturday, July 11, according to the town's News Flash. Separately, Ashland has launched a new online licensing and permitting portal called OpenGov, which town officials say will streamline how residents and businesses apply for permits. Residents can find details on both items through the town's website.

Town committees have a full slate of meetings this week and next, including the Planning Board on Thursday, July 9, via Zoom, the Conservation Commission on Monday, July 13, and the Zoning Board of Appeals on Tuesday, July 14, in a hybrid format.

SCHOOLS

Ashland Public Schools' Site Council at David Mindess Elementary School is scheduled to meet Tuesday, July 14, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., with another session set for August 11. The district continues to promote sign-ups for its newsletters and highlighted ongoing work tied to the Mindess Building Project, its major facilities initiative.
